Reclining Bound Angle Pose
This is such a great pose that releases tension in the hips and allows you to get connected to the rhythm of your breath. Simply let your hands rise and fall with each breath as you inhale and exhale. This pose can even be done right in bed as you’re waking up for the day, or trying to unwind and regroup after that awesome holiday party.

An amazing pose that you can come to at any time for instant calm! Feel your troubles melt away as you rest your forehead on the mat, cushion, or block and just breathe. I find this great to jump into when you’re feeling overwhelmed during the holiday preparations.

Vrikasana, or Tree Pose, is an excellent pose for easing stress and anxiety because it requires grounding and concentration. It’s a constructive way to distract yourself while also giving your mind, and body, a challenge.

Uttanasana, or Forward Fold, is a pose that can help calm your mind and relieve stress and anxiety. We often carry stress and tension in our neck and shoulder area; this pose physically takes the tension off of that sensitive area, while allowing your entire upper body to release and relax.
Traffic! Airport delays! Your darling mother-in-law coming to town! Whatever the cause, your tension levels are probably mounting along with your credit card bills. Try star pose: It’s a restorative posture that not only helps relieve physical strain but also lets you take a mental break as you breathe into the pose. Plus, it’s a good way to release tension in the hips—something many of us have developed from focusing on forward-motion activities like walking and running.
