Do you have a “what to pack for lunch” game plan in place? With so much junk food easily available, it’s difficult to sometimes find healthy options for our little ones that they’ll actually EAT. That’s why I’d like to share a few back to school lunch ideas that your kids will absolutely love.
My daughter likes a lot of variety and gets bored with food easily so I have to change things up a bit. Did we care about this as kids? My food was in plastic baggies and a brown paper sack most of the time. Either way, I’m pleased to share with you a few back to school lunch ideas to get you started.
Taco Egg Muffins
Why pack your kids anything else, ever? Try out this protein-filled and kid-friendly muffin that you could use for breakfast OR lunch. Credit to A Cedar Spoon blog for this delicious recipe.
PB&J and Strawberry Skewers
Credit to A Whisk and Two Wands for this cool twist on the PB&J. You can use any peanut butter or jelly with a fruit combination — the possibilities are endless! For fruit, I usually go with strawberrys and bananas. Find the recipe here.
Ham & Cheese Pinwheels
A new spin on ham and cheese. (Get it?)
Because these buns are perfect at room temperature, make them in the morning and wrap tightly in foil for the lunch box. You can find the recipe at Today’s Parent.
Healthy Strawberry Oatmeal Bars
This may be the greatest healthy strawberry treat you’ve ever had. They even qualify as healthy snacks, too! Well Plated by Erin has this delicious recipe that you’ll be sure to love!
Basil & Pecan Chicken Salad Sandwich
Fortunately for me, my child and I both love chicken salad and this recipe by Lauren’s Latest is worth sharing. Nothing too out of the ordinary on the ingredients list, but throw them all together with a little mayo and you get something amazing!
And Finally…
