Home Workouts for Anyone: Made Easy!

As you’re spending more time at home these days, it’s more important than ever to continue taking care of your health.  That’s why I thought it might be helpful to share a few quick tips for home workouts.

One of the biggest advantages of working out at home is that you can exercise whenever you want and not just when the gym is open. You also have the freedom to blast your music as loud as you want.  And the best news of all – you don’t have to share your home workout equipment with ANYONE.

Now that you know the advantages – here are 3 tips that will help you with your home workouts.

Tip #1 – Choose the Right Workout Wear for You

The beauty of home workouts is that you don’t have to get dressed for a public outing.  In fact, you can wear whatever you want!  Some days pajamas work just fine but pay attention to how you feel during your workouts.  Remember, always choose what works best for you!  After all, do you want to sweat in your pajamas? Choose wisely.

Tip #2 – Be Realistic

Since you’re at home and not competing with your gym partner – remember to be realistic. Start slowly, trust your strength, and treat your body well. You don’t have to jump into it full-speed. Instead, commit to what you think is reasonable for your body and schedule what you can manage each week. Maybe three days a week will work to start. As you become more comfortable, start doing more.

Tip #3 – Schedule Your Workouts

One of the great benefits of having a gym membership is that it often keeps you accountable.  However, no such luck working out from home.  Like anything in life, it’s good to have a plan.  Fitness trainer Megan Roup suggests making a schedule on your calendar – and sticking to it!  The most important thing is to stay motivated…and to be consistent.
