If you’re like most citizens of earth, you’re stuck inside and waiting for this quarantine to finally end.  With gyms closed, sporting events shut down, and restaurants off-limits, many people are turning to the Internet and social media for connection.  With so much time on your hands, why not try something new? I’d like to introduce you to the 6 Best Yoga YouTube channels for 2020.

If you’re new to the practice or seeking something more professional, these 6 yoga YouTube channels offer something for everyone.  From ten-minute on-the-go workouts to children’s yoga practices, these channels will help guide you and your whole family towards better health and wellness.

Yoga with Adrienne

Adriene Mishler has been sharing her love of yoga on YouTube for more than seven years, giving fans everything from typical beginner’s yoga poses to yoga that can help combat health issues, such as acid reflux and neck pain.  As I mentioned in a previous blog post, Adrienne’s calming voice and friendly disposition is evidence as to why she’s accrued over 6.5 million YouTube subscribers.

Cosmic Kids Yoga

Stuck at home with your kids because of the Coronavirus? This is a great channel to introduce yoga to children as young as age three.  Jaime, the host of Cosmic Kids, does a great job of introducing basic yoga moves to children through the incorporation of classic children’s stories.  I introduced this channel to my four year old and she loves it! So roll out a kid-sized yoga mat for Jamie’s mix of yoga, storytelling, and fun.

Tara Stiles

For over 12 years, Tara has been sharing the practice of Strala Yoga with the world.  Strala combines the movements of tai chi with the forms of qigong and traditional chinese medicine to reduce stress.  If you’re not familiar with Strala Yoga, don’t feel alone. While it’s practiced in more than 100 countries, it’s still not a widespread yoga movement.  However, Tara and her more than 328,000 followers on YouTube are helping to spread the word on this growing yoga movement.

Yoga with Briohny

Briohny claims to have fallen in love with yoga after struggling for years with anxiety, and since then, she’s been on a “path towards healing, health, and purpose”.  Beyond sharing a wide variety of yoga styles and poses, Briohny also offers videos on how to become a yoga teacher.

Faith Hunter

More than just yoga, Faith is a meditation instructor and lifestyle coach. Her passionate teaching style is heavily influenced by Kundalini Yoga, Vinyasa, and various forms of meditation.  Tune in for the yoga, but also a sampling of meditation, encouraging words of inspiration, and wellness tips.

Yoga with Kassandra

Kassandra Reinhardt focuses on Yin Yoga.  Yin is a slow-paced style of yoga incorporating asanas (postures) that are held for longer periods of time.  Kassandra challenges new beginners to immerse themselves in Yin Yoga for 7 days to become a true believer of the practice. In addition, Kassandra offers 10-minute videos to help ease new beginners into the practice.   We’ve all got 10-minutes, right?
